Flowers in Denali
Despite the naked look of the landscape, there are wildflowers everywhere. There is a woman named Gail Niebrugge who used to work in San Diego for the Navy as an illustrator. She moved to Alaska to do landscapes, and never felt that she was capturing the beauty. Then one day she looked down at the flowers around her and discovered that she could paint them and interpret the nature of the landscape in something small, rather than the vastness. Check her out on the internet. In the meantime, here are flowers from Denali.
