A Fawn Poses

We saw a fawn, still with its spots, and while we were watching, it went into a native flower garden that is maintained by the park.  We didn't know how he got there, but a lady who works there came out and told us they can squeeze through the side of the gate.  She said the mothers often encourage the babies to come into this garden, because they know it is safe.  In the meantime, the mothers go elsewhere to forage, using the garden like a day care center.

John and this fawn became well acquainted, and the baby kept eating while indulging John in some great photos.
