Salamanders?

We entered the Waterton National Park.  Never heard of it?  Neither had we!  i'll tell you more, but the first thing was a delay at the gate.  We have a National Park Pass, and the scanner wasn't working.  The man in the guard station chose to ignore us for quite some time, until he flipped the switch to open the gate and let us pass.  John commented that he must be FRENCH Canadian.

And then we saw a sign for a Salamander Crossing.  This is going to be different, we think - we've seen a lot of wildlife, but this is a whole new thing!

There were elaborate tubes and tunnels up the hills and across the road to accommodate these salamanders.
