When we were camped at Belly River, I spotted several large dandelions that had gone to seed. They were glinting in the afternoon sun and were beautiful. I urged John to get out his camera immediately and take a picture. He did, and in a few moments the wind had taken them all and the field was barren.
I know that I have been really fascinated by the dandelions on this trip, but they have provided an endless ribbon of yellow roads and then white snowy fields, and i am sad to see them go.
John and I talked about how big this one was. I suggested the size of a tennis ball; he thought more like a softball.
