The area between Jasper National Park and Banff National Park is called Glacier Icefields. Everywhere you look there are beautiful glaciers suspended at the top of mountains, or cradled in bowls beneath the summits.
The Columbia Icefields are the major tourist stop here, because there are so many areas where you cannot stop and take pictures. Here, buses take people for rides out onto the glaciers. You can also hike up to the face of this Columbia glacier.
I think I took about 250 pictures on this day, so these are some of the best.
