Ready to Ride!  Training for the ride to the Arctic Circle

While we were in Homer, John braved the cold, blustery weather to ride his bike.. 

Farmer John in Iowa sent John the Jersey from the Tallyrand Bicycle Club. Farmer John puts together the Ragbrai group that rides 500 miles across Iowa, and John was part of the team last year.  

  We picked up the Jersey  at the Homer Post Office, and he rode with it on the past couple of days.  We aren’t too far off from the Summer Solstice, where he plans to ride about 100 miles through the Arctic Circle.  And, of course,  he will be representing Tallyrand, since he will miss Ragbrai!
